Crown Heights: Corner Store
This Crown Heights Bar, Brunch Spot, and Coffeeshop is a must try
Hey Readers,
It has been a minute so I am quite sorry about that. Lots of stuff going on at my end so I had to put this on the back burner. Luckily we are back. We have a lot of big projects we are working on building as we build out the more community centric part of our operation. Today’s review brings us to Crown Heights
Neighborhood: Crown Heights
Address: 753 Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11216
Seating:
There is a bar with lots of stools
There are three tables facing the window that can seat four people in theory but more comfortably for two. There are five or so two person tables in the back corner and one two person table and a four person table at the front close to the entrance.
On a nice day there is also lots of outdoor seating under an awning.
Plugs: This is not this place’s strong suit. There is one in the back corner near the table closest to the kitchen and one near one of the tables by the windows across from the bar. They also have portable chargers so you can plug in if you are not near a plug which is awesome.
Wi-Fi: Works well. But can go in and out on occasion.
Bathroom: Yes, there is a single one person bathroom
Food: There are lots of good options here. This is a great place for brunch. I am particularly keen on their toasts. The smoked salmon toast is one of my favorites as is ham and cheese panini. It’s a little pricer than it should be but once in a while is worth splurging on.
Noise Level: It’s a comfortable level of background noise. It’s a hybrid coffee shop, bar and restaurant so as long as you’re comfortable with that, this can be a good place to post up.
Lighting: There are corners that can be kind of dark because, among other things it is a bar but there is also lots of natural light with its floor to ceiling windows.
Overall: This is a really solid option in Crown Heights, I recommend it. Grab a bite, shoot the shit, rock through that Google Doc and try this place out. Come with a charge on your laptop because plugs are a little sparse.
