Exciting Updates for 2025 and Beyond
More reviews, remote worker collective and The Coffee Break series returns
Hi everyone,
First, a huge thank you for subscribing to the WFHishNYC newsletter! This year has been a big one for us, and we’ve made incredible progress. We started 2024 with just a few hundred subscribers and a modest Instagram following. Fast forward to today, and we’ve reached over 250,000 views on our map, gained a massive influx of new subscribers, and grown our social media presence significantly. That’s in part because we’ve also teamed up with NYC Cafe Vibes, another creator, to expand our coverage of the city’s best spots—our combined reviews are now featured on the map.
As 2024 wraps up, here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming in the year ahead:
More Reviews
I’m committed to being more consistent with reviews in 2025—expect a new one every week. What sets our newsletter apart is its no-frills, honest approach. Every cafe we review is personally vetted, and our reviews are objective—no partnerships, no sponsored content. The cafes don’t know when we’re reviewing them, so you can count on our feedback being genuine. We aim to showcase a variety of spots: from trendy new openings to hidden gems and established classics across the city—not just the West Village cafes you’ve heard about from the latest influencer on TikTok. We’re keeping it real, and it’s clearly resonating!
The Remote Worker Collective
This year, I launched the Remote Worker Collective (RWC), a new platform designed to help remote workers connect and collaborate. Modeled after local community groups, RWC is a space where you can meet like-minded individuals for remote work, project collaborations, and even new friendships. As a remote worker myself, I understand how isolating it can be—this group is an opportunity to replicate the camaraderie of an office, but with people you genuinely enjoy spending time with.
Whether you're a lifelong New Yorker or new to the city, this community is for you. If you’re looking to connect with others to work side by side or collaborate on projects, RWC is your place.
Joining is easy: for a one-time fee of $25, you can become a member. Simply email me at andy@andyreports.com with the subject line “Request to Join Remote Worker Collective”, answer a few quick questions, and you’ll be directed to a Venmo payment. Once that's done, you’re in!
I’ll be honest, the soft launch didn’t generate as much interest as I hoped. But if you're a current subscriber and would like to join and help grow RWC, I’m offering a $10 discount to help get things moving.
The Coffee Break Returns
In 2025, we’ll be bringing back The Coffee Break, our series where I sit down with iconic New Yorkers—from transplants to locals who are shaping the city’s culture. We’ll chat with influencers, journalists, activists, business owners, musicians, actors, and more, all about their favorite coffee spots in the city. Our past interviews have included writer Jason Diamond, comedian Stef Dag, bathroom influencer Teddy Siegel, real estate pro Christina Kremidas, and Jeremy Asgari, founder of Outsiders. If you have any suggestions for future guests, don’t hesitate to reach out—no one’s too ambitious!
Help Us Keep Going
Lastly, if you’ve been enjoying the newsletter, please consider becoming a paid subscriber. While I’d love to keep WFHishNYC free, it’s only sustainable with your support. Upgrading to a paid membership ensures we can keep delivering regular, quality reviews and content to you.
Thanks again for being a part of our community. I’m excited for what’s to come in 2025 and beyond!
Best,
Andy
