Hey readers,
This week’s review takes us to Bed-Stuy. The Art Shake Cafe is an inviting space inside a pottery studio in the heart of Bed-Stuy.
Neighborhood: Bed-Stuy
Address: 1129 Bedford Ave.
Seating:
4 two-person tables
A small nook with four single-person chairs
One community table that seats six
Plug Situation: There are a few scattered throughout the communal space.
Bathroom: One bathroom for customers only. No public bathroom.
Wifi: Works well with no complaints.
Noise Level: Comfortable, with a bit of background chatter and music in the background.
Light: The big, open floor-to-ceiling windows make this place thrive off natural light, and on a beautiful day (like the one I am writing this on), it makes this an inspiring place to be.
Food: It has a no-frills cafe vibe. What you’d expect at any cafe—cappuccinos, lattes, teas, etc. They have a limited food menu with some sandwiches and some stellar pastries—if you have a sweet tooth, be careful.
Overall: This is a good space to pop into for a little bit. Maybe if you have a quick thing you need to do or need to answer some emails. They have a one-hour limit on laptop use.
