Here’s your first review of 2025. This time it’s in Greenpoint and it’s called Coffee Check

Here’s what you need to know:

Neighborhood: Greenpoint

Address: 65A Green St, Brooklyn, NY 11222

Plug Situation: The plug situation is plentiful, especially near the community table. There are 16 outlets on the far wall, and another 16 on the bar facing the wall upon entry.

Seating

• A large community table that comfortably seats 12 people

• A nook with couches that can seat 6 people, plus a large deep chair alongside

• Five barstool seats alongside the barista bar

• Seven additional barstool-style seating options at a bar facing the opposite wall

• One table for two people

Wi-Fi: Works well, no complaints. There is a time limit per purchase.

Bathroom: They have one.

Noise Level: Comfortable — lo-fi music in the background and a pleasant amount of ambient noise.

Lighting: Warm lighting with lamps.

Food: They offer a coffee and tea menu with limited pastries. Not a place for lunch, in my view.

Overall: While a bit out of the way, this place is a solid, reliable, and comfortable spot to get some work done remotely. However, it does close early—at 3 PM.
